The American inventor Thomas Alva Edison became famous
because he made over 1000 new inventions. He was born in 1847 and died in 1931.
His inventions changed the world for ever. One of them was electric lamp. It
was a filament or thread inside a glass bulb with all the air removed. He also
invented phonograph. Phonograph is an American word for record player. Today we
can listen to music because Thomas made this machine.
